Peter Geddes – Director
Peter Geddes is a Mining Engineer with extensive experience in open-pit and underground mines in Australia and internationally. In recent years he has been involved in company funding and governance and has been a director of several mining companies and an international NGO. Peter has worked for a range of mining, venture capital, and consulting groups including Mount Isa Mines, Cerro Matoso SA, Acacia Resources, Billiton Australia, MineConsult and Lion Selection. Consulting engagements have been completed for AngloGold, MMG, international banks, BHP Billiton and Newcrest Mining, among others. As founding director, Peter is focusing GoldFern Consulting on strategic services to major, mid-tier and junior mining companies. His core skills are in Project Management, Contract Management & Negotiation, Strategic Planning, Study Management, Project Startup & Expansions as well as cross-cultural team development. Peter is a proficient communicator and regularly manages multi-disciplinary teams. Peter has substantial offshore experience having both traveled widely and worked successfully for several years in South America and in Asia. He offers a diverse mix of corporate, commercial and project-related skills in underground and open pit mines, processing and infrastructure as well as familiarity with gold, base metals and bulk commodities.
